Pakistan has begun preparations for a second round of peace talks between the United States and Iran, according to local reports.

The Express Tribune reported on April 16 that preparations are already underway, with a strong focus on enhanced security measures.

Sources indicated that the talks are likely to be held at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad, the same venue as the first meeting. The second round is expected to take place over the weekend or early next week.

There is also a possibility of preliminary discussions between the delegations ahead of the formal talks. Another Pakistani outlet, Geo News, reported that authorities have instructed relevant agencies to begin administrative and security preparations.

Key agenda items are expected to include Iran’s uranium enrichment program, navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, sanctions relief, and efforts to ease regional military tensions.
