The U.S. government has advised its citizens to immediately exit the Middle East amid escalating military strikes by the United States and Israel and retaliatory attacks by Iran, citing significant security risks across the region.
The U.S. State Department issued an evacuation advisory for 14 countries including Iran, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq, Qatar, Israel, Jordan and Yemen, urging American nationals to depart via available commercial transportation.
Mora Ramdar, a consular affairs official, stressed that U.S. citizens should prioritize safety and leave conflict-affected areas without delay.
Several U.S. diplomatic posts in the region have suspended operations or evacuated staff as conditions deteriorate. In Kuwait, the U.S. embassy halted all services, while the mission in Saudi Arabia canceled consular appointments due to security concerns.
With many airlines suspending flights in the region, some Americans are being advised to travel via alternative routes to reach safer locations.
