Housing prices in Seoul continued to rise in March, but the pace of growth slowed for the second consecutive month.
According to official data, the increase in home prices weakened, especially in the apartment sector, indicating a cooling trend in the market.
Notably, the three major districts of Gangnam, Seocho, and Songpa shifted into decline, driven by an increase in urgent sales and some lower-priced transactions.
Meanwhile, other districts still recorded gains, highlighting a mixed trend across different regions.
Across the greater Seoul area, price increases also slowed, while Incheon remained flat. Non-capital regions maintained a modest upward trend with regional variations.
Rental markets continued to rise, supported by limited supply and strong demand for newly built and well-located properties.
Analysts expect a mixed market to persist, with cautious sentiment alongside selective price increases.
