Abbas Araghchi blamed the United States for the breakdown of recent ceasefire negotiations.
According to Iranian state media, Araghchi acknowledged that some progress had been made but said excessive demands and flawed strategies from the U.S. side prevented a final agreement.
Plans for follow-up talks in Pakistan ultimately failed to materialize, leaving negotiations at a standstill. Iran appears to be strengthening its diplomatic efforts in response.
Araghchi also highlighted the importance of cooperation with Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global energy corridor.
Meanwhile, he is visiting Russia and is expected to meet Vladimir Putin to discuss regional issues and bilateral relations.
As negotiations with the U.S. remain stalled, Iran is seeking to enhance its position through closer coordination with Russia.
